“You see that life will become a thing made of holes. Absences. Losses. Things that were there and are no longer. And you realize too that you have to grow around and between the gaps so that you can put your hand out to where things were and feel that tense, shimmering dullness of the space where the memories are.”

My drawings and paintings explore the theme of absence through the residue that is left behind or the gap where something once was. My intention is to demonstrate that what remains only accentuates that that is lost and the poignancy of things which cannnot be retrieved except by imagining or through memory
